One of the very first cryptocurrencies I invested in, Verge is not a glamour kid but rather a crypto ‘introvert’.
From Blockonomi.com…
Verge ( XVG ) started life as DogeCoinDark back in 2014 which makes it one of the older anonymous coins, when it was launched it’s goal was to be a fun anonymous digital currency, in February 2016 it was rebranded to become Verge.
There is a very strong community backing the development of this currency and it’s ‘accessories’ . One main developer who is clearly not interested in fame and glory ‘Sunerok’ is supported by 10 other developers.
From Vergecurrency.de a summary:-
VERGE is a symbol of privacy and progression in the altcoin industry.
VERGE private networks span the entire GLOBE.
VERGE is the privacy focused & secure alternative to other cryptocurrencies.
VERGE can be mined using 5 different algorithms.
VERGE is a secure, anonymous, and constantly evolving cryptocurrency.
There are 16 Billion coins in circulation which does hold the price back at this stage but when one considers that RIPPLE has 38 billion in circulation and has recently touched $0.28c there is no good reason that Verge cannot at least reach into single cent digits, especially as the privacy and security is very key to this particular coin.
Some of the innovation shown by the dev team:-
It seems I am not the only Steemian who fancies this one . Previous article by @marcdekoning

For the record, I do STILL hold those initial coins I bought and do not intend selling them as I hope to be able to use them as a currency under the radar in future. I paid 4 Satoshi’s and spent around $7 ...a little beer money.
