Today was a great day on the weather side, so I got out on another one of the back trails and walked up a good bit of the mountain side to do some surveying around the property. Plus I wanted to go and play with my new machete! Ran across some downed trees and such that need to be cleaned up and located a couple of spots for a good campsite and another for a good hunting greenfield so I can try to get a deer at some point. If I can't hunt this year, then I will at least do some good recon over the season and be ready for next year.
One thing is I don't have a deer rifle or a bow. My rifle is not a big enough caliber to take deer hunting so I need something bigger. I don't have a local ID so I have to get that all sorted out before I can get a gun. I may see if I can borrow one this year from one of my uncles, so hopefully I can get out and get me a buck this year! I love that wild game.
I did a nice little 20 minute walk and talk that I want to load on 3Speak, but their site is down, so here are some pictures to tide you over!
