Hi Steemit, this week i had a chance to see 'Ahlat ağaci' the movie from Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Maybe some of you heard his name from Cannes. His melancholy and many awards..
The movie is about 3 hours 8 minutes long. For many it's too long like the couple who was sitting next to us by saying over and over again how they're so bored loudly while we were trying to watch the movie. Hey couples, if you're coming to a movie and get bored, you can always leave. Nicely reminder. Beside that you never understand how movie goes.. I think it might be one of the movies that has so many conversations by him.. When you leave the movie, you feel like you like it but after some times you'll like you're loving it.
It shows the reality of Turkey. Or humans. I mean generally everyone i guess.
You can't tell this movie easily. I can't even say the topic. I can say it's the life. I can say how we are losing ourselves in a specific moment of our lives and actually dying there. We are completely losing ourselves. Then we just continue. Society is not accepting us, they call us crazy. We're getting more alone and it the end it's just us. Just me and me. You're finding a little part from yourself in every character.
In the movie our main character Sinan sees his father as nothing. He looks at every one else with arrogance because of his father. Because he sees himself in some kinda higher place than others. When he realize actually his father is the only one that read his book and understood his words, it's becoming too heavy for him. He's killing his life in the same place. Not himself. He's choosing his alone father instead of the society. While he's in the pain of living in that little town, he understood his father is the closest to his feelings.
Worth to watch because you'll find your own perspective.
Kisses, Steemit
