Today is the 1st blank page of a 365 page book....write a good one.
Yeah, cliche, I know.
Sentence that you often hear or read whenever a new year started, or even after a birthday, or Eid (Idul Fitri). But nothing is wrong for starting on something with a good and positive reminder to yourself, right?
So as today is the 1st day of 2020, I am going to start with a heart warming writing.
Nah, scratch that. I am not good with writing and words 😜
I do want to share an odd, well sweet, or rather surprising (for me) thing that happened to my family and I a couple of days ago.
You know Christmas Crackers?
I was watching Youtube the other week, with Kevin Hart and The Rock, and they were doing Christmas Crackers.
Christmas Crackers look like these.
Well, sorry....did not cross my mind to take a snap before we cracked the crackers opened, you know, as I only learned the sweet thing, right after. So yeah, the crackers I shared above are already cracked, torn apart 😜
Christmas Crackers look similar to a candy shape. I could borrow a picture from Google, but lemme just suggest you to Google yourself 😜
Anyhoo...
When you crack open the crackers, you will find gifts and also papers of jokes of some sorts.
I have known Christmas Crackers for sometime, my 1st crackers was at an NYE party at someone's house in 2011. However, according to Kevin Hart and The Rock, it was their 1st time ever hearing or learning of Christmas Crackers.
Really????
Us in Canada know Christmas Crackers, how come our closest neighbor do not know, let alone do, Christmas Crackers? That cannot be right, right?
Same as when I learned many Americans said/asked on Twitter, what the hell is Boxing Day.
What????!!!! You do not know what Boxing Day is??? No Boxing Day there? Seriously???
Well apparently, Boxing Day and Christmas Crackers are British thing. Aaaah.....I thought, well that somehow make sense then, but still USA is sooooo close to Canada. I was expecting Americans would know 😜
Anyways...
Lemme share you my story.
This year, we did Christmas Crackers. Altho we knew Christmas Crackers, we never had it on a gathering at our place. This year, my husband surprised us with Christmas Crackers - no, he did not watch that Youtube of Kevin Hart and The Rock, nor that I mentioned about it, at all. Yet somehow, he surprised us with Christmas Crackers. It's like he was reading my mind 🤣
Anyways... we did Christmas Crackers and we got these gifts from each of our crackers.
What so odd about them?
Well....my husband got the Rubik's cube....he is Hungarian and Rubik's cube is originally from Hungary.
My oldest son got a set of mini screwdrivers. Lately he has been teaching himself on how to pick a lock! And he would use this tool and that tool.
So....do you see what am trying to say?
My youngest, he got this magnet picture holder. He LOVES magnets! Our both fridges are full with his magnets! (I have shared abut this before, here on my Steemit if not on @livinguktaiwan's challenge of "what's in your fridge" or maybe it was "show me your fridge" - sorry, cannot remember anymore lol)
What???!!!!!!
Then there was one cracker left which he asked if he could crack it and we said, yes. And he got a mini deck of cards. My gosh. He often begs whenever he sees cards, to get them, regardless he has cards already.
I was starting to think, how bizarre.
Until I cracked mine and the key chain of a moose flew out! I have been wanting to get a key chain for my handbag! And a moose???? Hellooo...we live in the north, where a moose would wonder around in town sometimes, and they scare but at the same time, amoose me! (yeah, yeah, I know it was supposed to be amuse, but whatever, it's a-moose, bebe! lol)
How were each and everyone's gifts so fitting????
(Well except for the boys uncle, maybe. He got a pen, and he did not seem to like what he got 🤣)
Now, do you see why the title of the blog is as so?
Seriously not a click-bait 😉 But.....fitting to what my board is saying, right? Write a good one 😉
Think it was really magical, and anything magical, well good magical, heart warming feeling, I like 😉
What do you think? Was it magical too?
It was our 1st time doing Christmas Crackers with the kids. They were so amazed and happy with it. Think it was a start of a new tradition for our little family 😍
.....downfall is....them crackers are expensive 🤣😅🤣😅
Maybe I should make myself 🤣 Cheap, cheap, cheap TKF 🤣
I can never make up fun jokes as the crackers have tho. Altho I can always print out from the net, maybe 🤣
Here are two that I saved from the crackers.
Anyhoo.....how is/was your 1st day of 2020? Any good story to share? Or most likely you have written it down on your 1st page of your 365 page of 2020 book 😉
Thanks for reading!
