Hi There Peeps 🤗

I hope your Monday is doing well. We are back at home now. As much as I love hotel hopping, my own bed feels muuuccchhh better, especially my pillow. I hate soft pillows, always hurt my neck. I always wish to travel with my own pillow but meh, so much space will be used and so much hassles 😅

But yeah, wish I don't have to clean up after myself, you know, like at hotel living 🤣 Am so lazy, I know 🤣

Since we were out of town, thought it was a great opportunity for me to thrift store checking, to find more My Little Kitchen Fairies (read about them here, https://steemit.com/photography/@thekitchenfairy/come-meet-my-baby), but no luck 😭 I was soooo hopeful 😅

We went to 3 thrift stores but yeah none. All we found were teddy bears figurine and tons of Christmas figurines still, at all 3 stores. I guess unlike regular stores, thrift stores are not in a rush in putting seasonal goodies away.

Needless to say, I was sad 💔😅💔😅

But guess what I found.

A view that touched my heart.

Free breads!

No, no. Not because I love gluten very much. No. But...What??!!!! A thrift store giving away fresh bread???? What???!!!

A freaking thrift store.

Not a church, not a bakery, not a big chain mall, but a thrift store!

WOWZER.

I did not even pay attention as we walked into the thrift store. Yes, I saw the breads, but thought they were for sale. I was just went ahead to search for a fairy or two. When I learned there were none, boo-hoo, we headed to piles of cassettes, CDs, tapes, and whatnot. - got me some One Directions CDs, SCORE 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nah, joking 😁

Joking aside...

The racks were located near the cashier and there it was....the baker's rack caught my attention at last.

Saw people went in, grabbed a loaf, went out. Over and over.

Then I squinted my eyes and read the paper...it says free.

Aaah....I see now.

What a brilliant and genuine gesture.

It warmed my heart to see that.

So I went up to the cashier and asked a question or two.

So yeah...they are free bread for whoever. Donated fresh bread. How lovely. How helpful.

The name of the thrift store, Mission, really is perfect. They really are on a good mission for sure.

I asked permission to snap a picture and she said of course.

There are thrift stores in my own town, which some of them are supposedly to help people, but abroad. Nothing like this. To your own people, to your locals, when I see so many homeless in our town, and single parents. They can use this kind of help.

We do have some organizations that do help, but what this thrift store does, is a great example too, should companies, businesses, and/or thrift stores would use the idea ❤

I told my husband I wanna do it. He nodded. But then I remember, last year, a big company sponsored breakfast at our school, and my husband thought we should be able to do it too, until we learned there are at least 500 kids, then staffs, workers, then volunteers, and we calculated...yep, we don't have the budget 😁

One day we will. Someday we will. Free breakfast for the school, and free daily breads to those who need them ❤

As we paid our CDs, the cashier told us to grab a bread, and we replied thank you, but there are others who could use it more than us, she called us good people and wished us a safe travel as she learned we are not from around.

But in me I said, "No, ma'am. YOU're a good person. I saw the way you treated whoever walked in, equally, sweet and jolly, whether to purchase something, or just simply grabbing a loaf".
