Hello everyone,

This weekend rank was again a rollercoaster in terms of what gods are being used most and what decks are best to play to get your desired wins. As it was expected we saw a lot of light, deception and a bit of war and magic. But the most surprising god seen this week to me was the nature goddess!

A lot of the top 10 weekend ranked players played nature, whether it was aggro or control and it worked to them like wonders. Now what is more surprising is that not only the deck that had very expensive cards were the successful ones only, there were also some almost free to play decks that worked really well. Of course more expensive cards decks did better but still cheap ones did very well also.

Now nature had its moment when the mortal judgement was released but then degraded slowly. But now it is working much better and I would think this is because a lot of light decks are being used in this meta, and nature works really well against light on all aspects! So after seeing nature being used a lot I decided to try it out again myself after finishing my 18 games, to get to my 30 wins and this is how it went!

The deck

So as we can see it is an almost free to play, very classic and not too fancy nature aggro deck but it worked like wonders to me to get my 30 wins! This deck has some cards that I usually am not used to using in my nature decks, so they were new additions but great ones to say the least and we will talk about them later on!

Now I played this deck from when I needed 12 wins to get to 30 wins, and it got me there very fast, so let us see the matchups results and how many matches did I need to get my needed 12 wins!

Matchups Breakdown

So I needed to play overall 15 games so get my required 12 wins which is pretty amazing to say the least! What helped a lot is that this deck worked very well against light, which I faced the most and luckily I did not get a lot of deception because I struggle most with them.

Now let us see what are the new cards that I usually did not use before and why did I use them now:

New cards

Grove Summon

" "grove summon.png""

This card was used before in decks that were built after the mortal judgement release and after it's rework, but not before that. I usually did not use to use it a lot but now it can work wonders, you never know what useful amazing cards you might get that can get you out of tough spots!

Feral shapeshifter

" "feral.png""

This card was not used a lot before but now after it being wild, along with the hidden it has it can serve a great purpose of either face damage or clearing enemy board. The hidden makes it also very tough to kill on the first turn, which can be make a great combo with the Sudden Bloom and get you a beast on the board!

Vicious Manticore

This card was a little used before but I never used it and this was my first time. With all these light decks out there, blitz clear is very necessary to get rid of annoying creatures before they get buffed, also the overkill might help sometimes. This card was useful to me in many situations and it was a good addition.

Now in case you do not own this card and do not want to buy it, you can always use the Barksworn Hunter which serves the same purpose and does exactly the same job.

Expensive Additions

Now there were a few cards that would have taken this deck to the next level, and make it even stronger, but these cards are somewhat out of budget and very expensive to me, but if you do happen to own any of these cards then by no means do not hesitate to add them!

Dagan, the Dawn Wolf

" "dagan.png""

This card works amazing in almost all nature deck, for the fact that nature has a lot of built in regen which might create you strong creatures instantly. This card works very well with the Marsh Walker and the Pyreshell Beetle and it is a great addition in case you own it!

Underbrush Board

" "underbrush.png""

I really can not see how this card might not fit in a nature deck, whether it was control or aggro. The ability of it makes it an excellent clearing options as well as having good stats for its mana cost which can give it more a chance to survive as well and either clear again, get buffed or make the opponent use stuff on it to kill it. Definitely a turn around for any nature deck out there and a crucial addition if owned!

Trial of the Hydra

" "trial.png""

Again with the huge amount of regen in nature decks in general, I think this is by far the best buffing deck for nature decks out there. It can give amazing amount of extra stats that can make it a lot tougher to kill your creatures especially when you are up against magic it can help you seal the deal once you reach the 5 mana spot.

Final Thoughts

I did not expect nature to work again like this in this weekend rank without the several very expensive cards out there. But seeing free to play nature decks somewhat working again made me a bit happy that I can play it again like I used to before, and also get my required wins in a good amount of time! I missed playing nature again since it has been a while since I played it well and I really enjoyed playing this deck a bunch!

Now the question remaining here is, will these decks still be working well until next week? Or will people start countering them again, or use them even more since nature was used this week but not as much as other gods. I think if light was still dominating next week nature will be played even more!

So that was it for this post, if you like to play nature but have not got the chance to use it because of its performance lately make sure to try out this deck I make sure to keep posting new and effective decks that currently works well in the meta so if you like to see more decks be sure to drop a follow I would really appreciate it and leave a comment on what god you think will be dominating next week, or if you think it will be a mix between all gods.

I hope everyone also had a great weekend rank, I got only 8 wins this week but I was glad I was able to get 30 so fast using this amazing deck! Thanks for all the support and see you on the next one!

Mad Love, Peace out <3
