Morality loses all of its virtue when you shave one corner.
On releasing the escorted native from the guard. The native attacked Lou. The other natives calmed her down. However, you could sense a tension in the air grow, as soon as the escorting guard fell. Urging the natives once again to follow him. He noticed more hesitancy but they followed. The rest of the journey to the cargo ship went without incident. The same for the trip down to the planet.
Reaching the planet. The natives were reluctant to leave the cargo ship. Lou said to give them time. They may just be nervous. <ore than an hour had past, before one of the natives peered through the cargo doors. Then another joined and another. Slowly they began to walk down the ramp.
Lou had people to meet here on the planet and things to discuss. There was nothing they could do about the military. Except to hope some in the ranks would see the wrong going on here.
Six hour had past since the guard had been medicated. The shifts onboard would also be changing soon. He must get the cargo ships back onboard.
Returning to the drop zone. The first cargo ship had just taken off with first class pilot, Ezel Beeb. Half full with found edible fruits from the planet. On landing he was met with a security team. This was not standard procedures. Enquiring to why he was off planet. Showing documents he had for medical supplies to be delivered. He said, The fruit in the back is a bonus. On inspecting the cargo, The pilot mentioned, Those orange red one's are like a juicy rich strawberry, try those. The pilot was waved on.
Ezel just loved flying. He spent all of his time in the unused space between level. Flying and modifying his runabout. Taking out unneeded part to lighten the craft and give greater weight balance. Making straight for his runabout. He must warn Lou about the military inspections onboard. Tracking devices had been removed from his runabout a long time ago. Now it was only detectable through visual means.
Lou reached the drop zone. Groups of natives were gathered around. 10 here. 15 there. One person would get up walk to another group sit and talk. Then one from that group move to another. This seemed to be happening randomly. Gestures to the sky and many others. The guess of meaning would be hazardous.
Making his way to the cargo ship. He was noticed and one of the natives shouted out. This shout was echoed by two others and several members from the natives rose and made their way toward Lou.
Each of the natives on reaching Lou, tapped their head and whispered umhuya. To which Lou thought, returning the gesture in kind seemed appropriate. This got a look of confusion and a quick discussion amongst the native people. They returned their attention to Lou and one began to speak.
Although the language he had no clue about. The gestures seemed to be understandable. Pointing to the sky, then to himself and a selection of the people. The same gesture was given for each of natives 4 men and 2 women. Pointing to each in turn and then to a selection of people. It appears each represents a portion of the people and not all are from the same area of land.
Each in turn then began to tell Lou something. Something to do with the sky. Lou could only think it was about the ship and where they came from. Knowing he had more chances of getting the message wrong. Lou called over a few language experts who had been trying to interpret the language. He done his best to gesture to work with his people to learn to understand each other.
In the meantime, Lou had better get the cargo ship back to the spaceship.
