Lately I've been doing a lot of studying. I started with Blender around the start of the year, I went into the domain of crypto currencies shortly after. I then, later, after getting a better hold on Blender, started learning Unity, which forces me to learn C# programming language. Not much before that, I finished my book where I found myself constantly needing to learn new things just to be able to make compelling arguments throughout my writing. During all of these phases there was a point where I went home at the end of my night of working for hours with this sense of being overstimulated. I felt like so much information would come into my head at once, that focusing on what I was doing, became troublesome. Usually, once that feeling hit, I knew that I was doing something right because it was always somewhere in that week, perhaps a few days later, when I all of a suddenly understood what my brain originally rejected. That was always the first step and indication that this was the right thing to do.

"Consolidation." That's exactly the thing that I said after not being able to remember something that I just spent hours learning about. It's a function of the brain that only takes place after sleeping and is often the reason you get foggy over time without it. See, when you are learning something new, you only have a limited amount of temporary memory that you can delegate towards what you're working on before you run out of space. Once you go to sleep, however, your brain goes through a series of processes that allow you to start remembering those things on a more permanent basis. I knew, because of my previous experiences, that this was natural, so I always relished in the fact that as I crammed more information in my brain, it was only a matter of a few nights of sleep before I would understand it on a significantly deeper level. It's just a part of the process, nothing more. This wasn't like cramming for a test though, this was pushing the brain into a position where it had to re-wire to accommodate the changes. It is an uncomfortable feeling of physical change within the neuronal pathways of the surface of the brain and it's new connections. I needed this though. Pain is progress in this domain.

I use to think that a lot of these things that I did were distractions, but as my brain continually re-wires, I see the world evermore clearly. I remember that my yoga teacher once said that the most difficult path to enlightenment was through an abundance of knowledge, but it nonetheless, was a way. I get that... Just like how by studying more, you understand how you know less, inevitably, as you learn enough, you are bound to realize that you know nothing. It's an incredible feeling. This feeling that as you learn more, you can suddenly gain more ground on the world around you. It's kind of like each skill that you learn, being symbolically referenced as a handle on life. The more handles you have at your disposal, the more ways you can manipulate the world around you. Where I'm at is especially exciting, because I no longer worry about the learning process, because I understand that the more discomfort I experience, the more positive change I am making. What better skill could there ever be than loving the things you hate? Hate becomes null and everything is equally entertaining.

I wonder what it is that would be considered the end of human evolution. I feel that we are heading in the direction of and I strongly encourage, the notion of us becoming intermingled with machines. I so many ways we already are, but I want to see what we can do on that next level. The level where sleep is no longer needed to compile information. That point where what we can do is only limited all knowledge. What an interesting notion. The more I study, the more I see this reality being a truth of the future. As I study games and programming, I understand more of what could be and I wouldn't mind being a part of these great changes of the future. I feel there is a lot of potential.

I'm not sure... It's just a random thought for the day. Take care!
