My grandmother's 88th birthday was on March 16, 2022 (Wednesday). But because most of us have work that day, we celebrated it on the Saturday. My family and relatives met for the special occasion. That Saturday was also the day before the 40 days from the day the dead body of the sister of my grandfather was buried. They have this practice in Oslob, Cebu that if the person that died is a girl and don't have any kids or husband, they should make some torta for her.
Torta is a sweet and spongy pastry. Everyone in the neighborhood helped in making some tortas.

We celebrated first the 88th birthday 💕 of my lola during lunch that day. We brought her some torta which made her so happy. After eating, I went straight to my dentist to have my braces adjusted. I went back to Bangcogon (the place where we celebrated my lola's birthday), we decided to book in a resort somewhere down the road, good for 1 night. The resort is named Bangcogon Resort and Restaurant. It's just a walking distance from my lola's house and fronting the beach view. You can also see Sumilon Island from there, as well as Siquijor Island.

While resting inside our rooms, we took some pictures and suddenly decided to do some Tiktok videos 💃💃💃.
After eating our dinner, we went to the sandbar and drank some alcoholic drinks together with my aunties and cousins. Having fun under the light of the bright moon above us.
THE NEXT MORNING
When we woke up the next day, we went to the nearby church to attend mass and offer some prayers and in-kind donation for the soul of our dead relatives. After the mass, we went to the house of my lola to pray for the 40 days of my dead sister of my lolo. We later on ate our lunch. Up until now, I'm still amazed of the tradition they have there. Everyone that came by to offer prayers also bought with them rice, softdrinks, beer, etc. Everything that is offered and who offered to the dead are to be listed down. My dead lola is a helpful fellow and she deserves to receive something like what she gave to those people ❤.

After that, we went back to the resort and had some picture taking 📸 of the beautiful view. We also took pictures with the 10 cute little puppies there. There are 10 of them 🐶, so cuuuute. But some people already owns each one of them. Half shitzu and half poodle = Shihpoo.
Their airconditioned room is good for four pax which costs PHP 2,150.00 (~43 USD) with free breakfast. We can see the beautiful view of the beach from the inside. We had a discount since we know the owner of it hahaha 😁.
