I'd like to introduce you to Lightning, our dog. We have her last June 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. She is a shy, yet extremely sweet, dog. She constantly gives us kisses and wants to cling to us all day. Most of the times she just wants to be alone and sleep all day. She will go to our gate and see the by passers. Liver and beef are her favorite foods.

The left image depicts Lightning's arrival at our home in June 2020. She's only three months old here. Then the right picture is the one you're looking at right now. Lightning and my cousin, Therese, have already grown and still have a good relationship with each other.

She can be cranky at times, but most of the time she is cheerful.
I believe she dislikes having her photo taken, but when she is in the mood, she will pose and give you a big smile.
The Preparation
We take a cab to SM Seaside Cebu with my cousin, Therese, in order to buy groceries for Lightning's birthday party. We purchased the ingredients for Humba, Mango Float, and Spaghetti. We also went to Hannah's to buy some decorations.
After the grocery run, Therese was vaccinated for her second dose of COVID-19 vaccine, which was scheduled that day. It was a success because, unlike the first dose, she didn't pass out during the second. Hahaha. After the vaccination, we simply ordered takeout from Jollibee and took a cab home to prepare for the party.
When we arrived at home, the cake I ordered online had already been delivered. It is a cake with a unicorn theme. We start preparing the food for our dinner. Because we are in a hurry, I was unable to capture the preparation process.
The Event
Lightning was dolled out in a unicorn-themed dress that I purchased for her on Shopee. Since it was custom-made, it fits her perfectly.
In addition, the preparations for her birthday party are completed. Thank you so much to Chin-Chin and Therese for their assistance. It was, in fact, the ideal one for our little girl.
We express our gratitude to the Almighty for all of the blessings we have received, as well as for the food we have shared.
We celebrated her existence that night. She is a family member to us, not just a dog. Every day, she brought us joy and love. We are eternally grateful to her for adding color to our lives, as well as the lives of our other dogs.
That was, without a doubt, a joyful day for us, especially for Lightning. ❤️
