I have but a wee glimpse for ye bloodshot eyes. An (oriental border) 2018 Brittania.
A beauty she is in any light! And the obverse? Well, what can I say? It’s QE II sporting more bling and ever larger earrings.
I really like this coin, and before a couple weeks ago it was the only oriental border piece I had. But lo, our own Pirate Sassy did surprise me with a flurry of largesse! And amongst that fine booty was this sweet compliment to the above (seen below) — if you know your history you will know that the Dutch East India Company was the main conduit through which the Far East and the West did business back in the days of yore — back when I were but a wee rapscallion and young Sassy was nary a lustrous sparkle in a noble Viking’s eye!
