Here we are again to continue our holyday in Dubai.
Wake up at 8.30 AM with a beautiful view off the balcony, with only 3 hours of sleep behind but it's okay .. We don't want to waste the time!
External temperature about 40 ° C, indoor temperature probably around -10 ° C .. I seemed to see some penguin go around the Hall.
Let's go for breakfast, which fortunately we have included in the price.
We were suggested to include lunch or dinner in the hotel stay for about € 350 per head. It would be nice, but we prefer to save on food and maybe buy something at the supermarket in the city. A sandwich at the hotel can cost $ 50 ... no thanks.
Buffet breakfast is very varied, chefs who cook on your request what you like.
After a nice binge, though the hotel offers a choice of 3 pools, we decide to opt for the beach.
It's really hot, sea water is pretty much ready for cooking pasta, so we decide to sit in the deck chairs under umbrella
A couple of hours of relax and then going to change for a night out to Dubai. Fortunately, we found that we have a free shuttle service from the hotel that runs 4 times a day every 2 hours. At least we will save on taxis.
We took the traffic peak hour, 20 minutes of theoretical road trip, made in the triple of the time.
Air conditioning inside the bus at maximum. Guys i do not know what they have in their head in these places but seriously, 17 ° C is crazy .. And we are in a city in the desert where the outside temperature is 45 degrees with maximum humidity.
We arrive at the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world, at 6.15 PM and unexpectedly the driver tells us to return at 7.30 PM because the last race is at that hour rather than the 10 PM as expected.
We go a bit bitter because we probably would have to pay a taxi for the return.
Do you guys think the Dubai Mall is a mall? You're wrong, the Dubai Mall is a real city.
Skating rinks, beautiful aquariums, waterfalls, dozens of restaurants and hundreds of (or thousands of) shops!
We only saw a small part of it and most likely we will have to return back again.
Before dinner we also check about the entry price to Burj Khalifa, the building that holds the world record at a height of 828mt.
In mid-height the price is about 200 AED (about 50 €), while to climb to the top the price rises to about 350 AED (just under 90 €).
Definitely too much, let's take a look at online tickets to find some deals, and if you come back another day.
Right next to the Burj Khalifa there are the famous Dubai Fountain shows.
It's the dinner time , so let's try some decent fast food where to eat.
Do you remember the suggestion of the Hotel when they advise us to make an upgrade of our stay by including lunch or dinner ? He told us that we would probably have spent more than outside (his bid was € 350 per head for the total 10 days).
Well tonight we got it with 13 AEDs per head, or 3 € per head and the food was pretty much good.
After eating we meet a couple staying at our hotel and proposing us to divide the taxi for the return.
We gladly accept, paying the entire 80 AED route for a 30km journey, divided by 4 people, or about € 5 per head. Not bad at all , we still enjoyed ourselves today and we did not really spend much.
Now it's 11 PM and we have just returned to the hotel, we will probably go to sleep to recover a bit of the strength.
