It is interesting to learn history through coin collection because it document the time and era of who was in power of individual country or who their master was. Before that I didn't know that Philippines once belonged to the Spanish and a war was fought between them and the Americans in 1898 which ended with the America winning and the Spanish ceded their prize colony of the Philippines to the United States in the Treaty of Paris.
