The man is a risk taker at heart. After selling his stake if PayPal he was a millionaire, he then used that money to start two companies, Space X and Tesla. Neither were sure bets, but he made them both work. He does see opportunity and milks it the best he can to profit, he a new breed of the ultra rich. He isn't content with what he has, he pushes for more.
