What a pretty place. You did pretty good despite the heat. I always found these hikes are easier earlier in the morning. I remember summiting taller peaks with easy trails we would start at four in the morning, back in the good old days. I'm not up for that anymore! lol

I love the second and third shots, the beauty of the entire lake, and then looking up at the immensity of the peaks above you. It's humbling to look up and consider just how small we really are. Those mountains will be there long after we're gone, although in a million years they may be gone to only to be replaced by new mountains. The earth is ever changing, we're just not around long enough to appreciate it! lol
