What’s up Steemit. Today I’m going to show you a piece that has been completed. This pour was into a wood called Padauk that comes from Africa. Most of you know by now that I love wood pours, I love pouring into the exotic woods.
The proper pronunciation for this piece of wood is
Pah-duke and is a orangeish red color but can very.
This piece of wood doesn’t give as tight of a grain as say a piece of mahogany like I showed in a previous post but comes out beautiful non the less.
This piece is a 3rd pour into the mold. The denser the wood, the more you gotta pour to start picking up the burn out or the “gator look” which @mr-vulcan has dubbed it.
This bar is weighing in at a 3.5 Troy ounce and is a chunky little dude. I love it when you pick up texture on the sides of a piece, to me it looks like a piece of treasure.
