LEGO Han in Carbonite

What’s up Steemit. A year and a half ago I poured this piece on YouTube. Ive only made 1 of these and the one I poured went to my good buddy @stackinag47. It’s amazing to me when I go back and look at my old videos and old pours I almost cringe at the hideousness of the turds that I was producing but I guess that’s what being a silver pouring newb is all about. As I think about the present day I wonder in a year and a half or so if I’ll think the same about the pieces I’m pouring now? It’s very possible and I think that when doing this type of thing you never really stop learning but you always strive to make your next piece better than the last. Sometimes they do come out better and at times they don’t but the key is to never stop trying.....which is something I constantly gotta keep reminding myself.
In this present day this is the second piece I’ve made of this mold, it’s not 100% perfect but I feel good about the direction I’m going. This is the piece I poured on November 4 of 2016

As I sit here writing this I can’t help but laugh at myself while at the same time feeling some sense of accomplishment in seeing how far I’ve come in this period of time. I had a whole different vision for this piece but when I sat it down to start the process I fell in love with it...it looks good just the way it is.

A lot of work went into this one and like I said it’s not perfect but I think maybe I’m starting to understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes I feel like I’m running in this rat race when it comes to pouring and I put my creativity in a box. I feel like when I do that I limit myself and it starts not to be fun anymore. I see so many beautiful pieces nowadays from the other members of not only the Mafia but in the community as a whole and it really is amazing to see how good everything is getting and that is exciting. Not only because I’m gonna get some of that but it helps me unbox that creativity that makes pouring fun.

Being able to pour focus and passion into pieces and getting that sense of accomplishment when a piece is is finished is something I hope I can hold onto for forever.
I’m not very good at putting how I feel onto this page but I hope that I’ve made some sense and you’re not completely lost😂😂 I do however appreciate you for reading this and all the words of encouragement and kindness that I hear, see and read. Thank you and I’ll see you tomorrow my friends✌🏻
