Due to rapid increase of Covid-19 cases here in our Province of Quirino, President Rodrigo Duterte put our entire province under MECQ or Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine from April 1-15 2021. It is a stricter quarantine classification than what we're in before. It is why checkpoints have been installed everywhere from Provincial borders, Municipal, down to barangay level.
Every streets that leads to every barangay is blocked and there is only one way in and out where there is a barangay outpost like this.
The purpose of this is to limit the movement of people going in and out of the barangay.
When going out, like going to the market only one person per household is allowed. Minors and Senior citizens is not allowed to go out. Only those that is in good condition is allowed and they need to get clearance or quarantine pass from the checkpoint in order for them to pass thru.
After getting a quarantine pass they can now proceed to where they're going.
Barangay officials, tanods and some Police officers are manning these checkpoints. A snappy salute to them for doing a great job! And to all frontliners and health workers out there, a huge respect to them! Godbless you all!
As of now, after days under lockdown there have been some good results after putting these protocols.
Covid-19 cases in our province have slowly decreasing.
As of today we have 351 active cases in the province, a lesser number than 460 cases before the lockdown. I hope it continues to go down and I hope everything will be okay soon. For now, we'll just need to follow the rules for us to be safe.
