A Chinese car is not an investment and you may as well drive it until the wheels fall off as there is no market for second hand Chinese vehicles.

I buy Chinese motorcycles from time to time. That is the perfect quote. Don't even think about reselling it, just drive it until the wheels fall off.

The good news is, because of the cheap price, that's exactly what you're buying. A disposable car, motorcycle, or scooter. You also get a lot of extras for the money. I pay cash for my motorcycles, have no monthly payment, they're fairly reliable, and if I get 2 to 3 years out of them, they've paid for themselves! After that, I just part them out and often get my money back anyway.

The bad news, no resell value. Not as reliable. If you're not a mechanic, good luck finding someone that wants to work on them.

I'm in the US. If we could get cheap Chinese cars here, I'd probably buy one if I thought I could get parts when it breaks down. The price difference before the tariff king took office, was just incredible. A few hundred dollar part for a Japanese or American brand, is often less than $50 on a Chinese brand. Not all the time, but the parts are cheap.

If you do your own mechanics, Chinese vehicles can be worth it if you're on a super tight budget and not worried about quality and safety. 🤣
