The death of Hulk only accelerated the divide between the Avengers.
Bruce was one of their most beloved friends after all, and the fact that his death came at the hands of a fellow member only made things worse.
The trial of Clint Barton is being televised, and everyone is tuned in.
Everyone except from Tony who is back at the lab trying to analyze the data he took from Ulysses early on.
Meanwhile the judge is trying to determine if Clint had committed a murded by killing Bruce Banner or if he saved people in case Ulysses’ visions were accurate.
Finally, Clint takes the stand and gives a totally unexpected revelation:
He says that a little over a year ago, Banner came to him with a box. The box contained an arrow made of Gamma- enriched vibranium made by Banner himself.
Bruce tells him that he’s conducting some Gamma experiments and if those experiments were to ever turn south, then he wanted Clint to kill him before it’s too late.
Banner tells him he chose him because he knows he’s the only one he knows who could live with the act.
The judge admits that they have an extremely difficult decision on their hands. And that the final decision will depend on the accuracy of Ulysses’ visions.
“If the visions were accurate, then Clint is innocent.” Says the judge.
“But if they’re false, if there is even a hint that Hawekey acted prematurely… Then he committed murder.”
Then Carol Danvers takes the stand.
She takes the stand and testifies that since the death of Banner, she has been continuing to use the visions to prevent multiple incidents around the world.
The judge asks her if any of the visions have been false and Carol says no.
Clint Barton walks.
Just as the verdict was being handed out, Tony looks at the results from Ulysses’s readings and realizes something that sends chills down his bones.
