Avengers: Civil War had a great story line and a compelling struggle between two of the main characters which at the time was refreshing as it broke the omnipresent Hero VS Villain archetype.
That made it very relatable- and that’s something considering this was a superhero movie - because it appealed to the reasonable notion that there is no need to antagonize those who have different opinions.
What makes the plot even more captivating is that it tackled an important issue that our generation identifies with: The mass surveillance and the potential trade off between security and privacy.
Though that script was written around 2015 and back then people were nowhere near as divided as today, so I wonder if we’ll ever see Civil War 2 in the near future.
Personally, I think it’s a great story line tackling a new interesting subject like pre-crime.
For those interested, I’ll be posting about the Civil War 2 plot in the coming posts and meanwhile, I wish you all an excellent day.
