Here are some additional photographs of historic Fort Sumter in South Carolina. Here, you an see the boat that brings people to the island as well as the lowering of the flag at the day's end. Some of the wall and battlements construction is original, but portions have been repaired and added to since the fort was built. Originally, the walls stood higher than they do today.
