Hello Hive, I have been a lil dormant on the chain but I was active on Pixagram. At first I was skeptical, but right now I am really enjoying my time there.
What is Pixagram?
It is a Hive fork, but you will need a new account. It does not carry over any accounts or wealth for that matter. There was already nostalgia using my phone number to create an account as I did the same 9 years back when registering to Stee... I mean Hive 0.5 :D.
Funny that Pixagram sent me a register code with all capital letters and a Zero that I of course mistook for a capital 'O' the first two tries. But all in all, you get your account created very fast.
The main focus of Pixagram is Pixel Art. For every picture you upload you get 4 different AI-Pixelation Filters. Two of them being called LucasArt and HoMM was an instant plus in my book. I think you can also skip the pixelation or turn it down to a minimum.
Pixagram went live on the 4th of September, so there are still some early pains. Not many users, not much content and a lot of it stuff that I would not necessarily call Pixel Art. Also, when I first joined I saw a bland pixelated photo of zebras having a payout of €500+. Looking at all the disagree-with-payout debates we had on Hive in the past, I am happy leadership stepped in and told curators to drastically lower their votes to not flood the market with coins.
Playing with the retro AI
I dunno, I got a hint from some Hivians that there is a chain with high payouts. I came to drain the chain but stayed to play with the awesome Pixel AI. I am really not uploading my first try but often rather my tenth or twentieth; I hope I don't burn any valuable resources in the backend with all those canceled tries.
I usually take my images of YouTube covers I created (or attempts to do so) or AI-generated memes I posted on Twitter as a basis for my retro art. So far I am pretty pleased with my catalog.
Hivians on Pixa and a recommendation
There are some people from the German community like @quekery and
@felixxx around. I even spotted
@neoxian aka Mr. Dragon. So far I have not seen any Hive-related Pixel Art tho :D.
For really good Pixel Art I recommend @morennk3ji aka
@mmorennk3jii. He is an enthusiastic Nigerian doing actual Pixel Art that even left some very nice, thought-through and eloquent comments on my art. I am not sure if he uses the Pixagram filters at all or just tries to raw upload his own Pixel Art. Anyways, I really like his creations the most so far.
Summary
I am quite psyched to upload my next cool retro Art to Pixagram! Looking at my feed, shout out to @primerz for spearheading this awesome project!
Deutsch
Was ist Pixagram?
@felixxx. Ich habe sogar schon
@neoxian aka Mr. Dragon gesichtet.
