There's some insightful commentary here, and a good variety of solid movie recommendations... I haven't seen a few of them. My favourite movie genre-- if I'm forced to choose one-- would be the redemptive intellectual drama. Examples are films like The Big Short, A Beautiful Mind and Good Will Hunting (which is the subject of the inaugural #CineTV discussion prompt). It's funny though: my absolute faves are outside of this category-- Cool Hand Luke, The Usual Suspects and others.
