Red-clawed crabs are one of the animals that live in mangrove forest parks, which are their natural habitat for growing and looking for food.
Crabs are known for their ferocity, attacking anything that comes to disturb their territory and habitat.
Yesterday, we went down to the mangrove forest to see the catching process first hand. And it turns out that these crabs start to come out when the water starts to rise because many small animals are carried away by the current and become their food.
The way to catch it is by using a stick or crab trap which has been filled with pieces of chicken or fish as the main bait and when everything starts to enter it will be lifted and taken out of the water and then tied with a rope to make it safer.
