I'm going to be starting a Skyrim roleplay blog series. Firstly I am going to describe how to play an RPG game; If you are familiar with RPG games, feel free to skip down to where I will create my character.
Introduction to RPG Games
Roleplaying games (RPG) offer the player a unique scenario where they can create a fictional character of their design and then play that character in a (often open world) storyline experience.
This allows the player to form a special bond or connection to the character you are playing.
Skyrim
Skyrim is the fifth edition of the Elder Scrolls series, a fantasy world set in Tamriel. Just thinking about describing Skyrim is making me want to create my character, so let's get started!
My Character
This character will be the star of this blog series. I have no previous ideas on what this character will be before writing this blog post, so this is all happening real time.
I want this character to be a reminder of serial killers. Not someone who kills for fame or fortune, but because they actually enjoy it. And as a friendly nod to the fact that serial killers are among us all, this character will not be noticeably blood thirsty. He will appear as any common wood elf. His name is Celephor.
Celephor
There are basically two political sides in Skyrim; Stormcloak and Imperial. You could call the Stormcloak a rebellion against the current government of Skyrim (or maybe in all of Tamriel, honestly I forget). The Imperial are the existing government, and are at war with the Stormcloak.
To avoid suspicion and to mix in with the common public, I see Celephor being a part of the Imperials.
Celephor's main pleasure in life is killing. Most of his skills will facilitate this pleasure, including lockpicking, stealth, and one handed weaponry. He can perform magic, but his magic skills are not very advanced yet. He may pursue increasing his abilities with magic, but for now he is just trying to build up his reputation and wealth in Skyrim.
