The Durbar is a massive festival that happens amongst the Islamic population in the northern part of Nigeria, there's a lot about the festival but artistically speaking, I love the use of horses and their mode of dressing during this festival, it sight of it all can be very beautiful and memorable.
The inspiration for the drawing above came from this festival because the headgear on the boy's head is visually same with that which the men that particular in the events of this festival.
