Been reading up on Twitter's algorithm, it seems that I'm doing a couple of things wrong that I didn't know about.
First, the number of followers vs following is important. I should be following less people than follow me.
So, I'm going to start unfollowing people that actually don't add value to my timeline. Also going to use a tool called Audiense to see who hasn't posted on X for more than 3 months, and unfollow them.
Mass unfollows trigger X to ban the account, so I need to be careful.
Also, I've been using a multiple hashtags (#), which the algo doesn't like.
No links in the tweets, if I want to post a link, I should do it in the next tweet, not the top one. I wonder if this was an attempt to stop scams.
There are other things like being toxic, using curse words, talking about controversial topics, etc... but I think I'm pretty safe on those ones, and I'm not going to censor myself just to appease the algo gods.
