Reparación de libro - Una vecina muy querida me regaló un ejemplar de "Mil ideas para la mujer de hoy" del grupo editorial "Océano" (edición de 1998), y el día que por fin encontré tiempo libre para sentarme a leerlo EL LIBRO SE ME CAYÓ, pero menos mal lejos de mis pies porque este libro pesa mas que conciencia de político chimbo y me hubiera conseguido un ticket directo a emergencias 🚑 😂 👍

Book repair - A dear neighbor gave me a copy of "A Thousand Ideas for Today's Woman" by the Océano publishing group (1998 edition), and the day I finally found the time to sit down and read it, THE BOOK FELL ON THE FLOOR, but luckily it landed far from my feet because this book weighs more than a politician's conscience and would have earned me a direct ticket to the emergency room 🚑 😂 👍

Y cómo estarás imaginando el libro no salió intacto... el impacto destruyó el lomo separando las hojas (casi 800) de la cubierta tapa dura: ¡La reparación aún así no fue tan complicada como creí!, el esposo de la vecina linda que me hizo este obsequio me explicó que con gasa, pegamento + 2 días de reposo con unos ganchos de presión podría arreglarlo (en las fotos podrás ver el excedente de gasas que me falta por retirar).

And as you can imagine, the book didn't come out unscathed... the impact destroyed the spine, separating the pages (almost 800) from the hardcover: The repair wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be! The husband of the lovely neighbor who gave me this gift explained that with gauze, glue, and two days of rest with some clothespins, I could fix it (in the photos, you can see the excess gauze that I still need to remove).

Carpeta Vintage - ¿Tu sabes cuando tienes algo que no quieres usar porque lo consideras muy especial?, eso me pasaba con esta carpeta de "Hey Arnold!" + estos espectaculares separadores de "La vida moderna de Rocko" y "Los castores cascarrabias" todos mercha original de Nickelodeon.

Vintage Folder - You know when you have something you don't want to use because you consider it too special? That's how I felt about this “Hey Arnold!” folder + these spectacular dividers from “Rocko's Modern Life” and “The Angry Beavers”, all original Nickelodeon merchandise.

Se que los publiqué en Mercado Libre Venezuela por considerarlas ítems de colección más que de papelería, y me alegro mucho hoy de no haberlos vendido, reflexioné que si me gustaban tanto debía usarlos, que si pase todos estos años guardándolos con tanto cuidado era por algo (por fan fiebruda de la era dorada de Nickelodeon).

I know I posted them on Mercado Libre Venezuela because I considered them collector's items rather than stationery, and today I'm really glad I didn't sell them. I thought that if I liked them so much, I should use them, that if I had spent all these years keeping them so carefully, it was for a reason (as a die-hard fan of the golden age of Nickelodeon).

También una de las razones por las que nunca utilice esta carpeta es por no encontraba papel para anillados con sus medidas, pero ni corta ni perezosa ubiqué una perforadora de papel grande y procedí a adaptar todo el papel que quice :3c (especialmente el que guardo de reciclaje) 👑 👏

Another reason why I never used this folder is because I couldn't find paper that fit its dimensions, but without further ado, I found a large paper punch and proceeded to adapt all the paper I wanted :3c (especially the paper I save for recycling) 👑 👏

Regalé el redondo a una amiga que tiene 3 gatitos en casa de diferentes edades, y me cuenta frustrada que los gatos ignoran el poste rascador de +20$ que les compró, por usar el rascador redondo que le obsequié.

Últimos toques del vestido anaranjado - Recordemos este post para mejor contexto: Al final de este proyecto me quedé sin hilo color anaranjado, y hasta hace poco fue que pude conseguir el color exacto de anaranjado precioso para poder darle los toques finales.

Final touches on the orange dress - Let's recall this post for better context: At the end of this project, I ran out of orange thread, and it wasn't until recently that I was able to find the exact shade of orange I needed to add the finishing touches.

¿Cuáles toques finales?, el ruedo de abajo, quería hacerlo doble, y las costuras del marco de cada corazón, también queria que fuera doble costura. Al final recorte el exceso de tela y puedes ver el resultado en las fotos.

What finishing touches? I wanted to make the bottom border double, and I also wanted double stitching on the frame of each heart. In the end, I trimmed off the excess fabric, and you can see the result in the photos.

Las faldas largas usualmente me quedan fatal pero hay elementos en esta prenda que presiento me ayudaran a conseguir la silueta que estoy buscando; estoy muy motivada tambien por el color de la tela, que planeo reforzar con algo de tintura extra (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ ¡deséame suerte, y nos leemos mañana! 🌙 🌃 ✨
