🐱 {19/01/25} ✦ Apollo is back home! 🙏 😸 🎉 | Important Update ✦ 🇪🇸 │ 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 ~ Friends, I have some very good, wonderful news: Apollo returned yesterday in the early hours of the morning, at around 1:30 a.m. He appeared at the window, meowing and asking to be let into the house. We are all happy, relieved, and filled with a feeling of gratitude that I cannot describe; it makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Apollo is not injured, he has no bruises or bites from other animals, but he was incredibly dirty, very hungry, and thirsty. I spent yesterday morning watching him eat and checking him over carefully. He was very quiet and has also lost weight and muscle mass. We think he may have been trapped somewhere he couldn't get out of.

Yesterday he was shy and very quiet, but as the hours passed he showed his usual personality as a talkative and cuddly kitten. As a family, we decided that for a while we will keep him strictly indoors and he will only go out for walks with his harness and leash, no unsupervised walks.

Since he appeared, I have been telling family, friends, and neighbors about the good news. Last night, I took him to visit some neighbors who helped a lot with the search. Everyone was very happy to see him safe and sound, although the condition of his coat surprised everyone because he didn't look like he had been lost for four days, but rather two weeks.

I have this incredible feeling that Apollo managed to return to us thanks to some benevolent magic, that this is thanks to all the good wishes and prayers you have sent his way, including our friends here. Thank you very much.

This experience has been terrifying and a powerful wake-up call about safety. It has also been an experience full of synchronicities: While searching for Apollo, I spoke to many people on the street, showing them his photo, I met neighbors who have their own colonies of community cats waiting to be spayed or neutered, and what surprised me the most is that yesterday morning a kitten in very poor condition appeared at my door.

The kitten is quite old and has an open abscess on its cheek with advanced myiasis (I'm not going to share any images of that because it's both painful and shocking), and the first thing I thought when I saw it was, “Whatever brought Apollo back to me is asking me for a favor in return.”

That kitten spent most of the day here. I offered it a large cup of water and plenty of food, gave it a mixture of painkillers and antibiotics, and thank God I have a spray specifically for treating myiasis. I applied two generous doses, and this morning I went out to look for it, but I haven't found it yet. I'm waiting for it to show up so I can give it today's medication. Today more than ever, I truly don't believe in coincidences.
