Union Pacific is committed to implementing Positive Train Control (PTC) carefully and thoroughly to enhance safety for employees and communities. Through Dec. 31, 2016, we've invested $2.3 billion in PTC, and we plan to spend $300 million in 2017. Our current estimate for PTC's total cost is about $2.9 billion.
