This mansion is known Glasgow-Fortner mansion and was constructed around 1859 in the Queen Anne Revival style. It features an asymmetrical form, round turret and whimsical detailing around the windows, porch and balconies.
The home was lived in until the early 2000's when it was converted into a bed and breakfast with a restaurant. In 2018 there was a large fire, leaving it abandoned. While abandoned a lot of crime happened within it's walls, including a murder. I explored the mansion in 2020, when it still had most of the original woodworking and features left inside.
In 2022 the property was purchased and renovation began. This lasted until early 2023, when there was another fire! Now for the second time it has been left abandoned and I jumped at the opportunity to explore this beauty once again. Unfortunately the renovations saw the majority of old style replaced with cheap plaster and paint. Leaving most areas as dull white rooms. Except for the staircase and one wall that are still original.
After the events of the last few years I cannot help but to feel that this mansion has some kind of curse on it and I really hope it's future is a lot brighter!
