David Drake is the Chairman of LDJ Capital. He is widely recognized as a leader in venture capital in several industries.
Drake, through his family office LDJ Capital, has acted as GP and LP investor with his partners in fund-of-funds, realty funds, venture capital funds, and hedge funds. Drake's investments currently have 50+ global directors that maintain relations with institutions and family offices with access to over a trillion in assets. I don’t know about you, but having access to over a trillion dollars in assets is called serious money!
Drake is a digital automation advocate for private equity as he lobbied the US Congress on the JOBS Act since 2011. He represented the US Commerce Department at the EU Commission in Brussels and Rome in 2012, was invited to the White House Champions of Change ceremony in Washington, D.C., and, was a speaker at the UK Parliament in 2013.
In this interview we talked about a wide range of topics, including a venture where he and I are involved called BitMinutes. This is an exciting project that has been in ICO for May 2018. It promises to empower people who are unbanked or under-banked giving them access to capital based on phone minutes in their mobile/cell phones.
In this interview David shared how he and his team select from the many projects that are presented to him. I thought it would be very informative to find out how someone of his caliber makes decisions on where to invest. His answer will help you as you make decisions in your own life experience.
