A few weeks back I was mooching through some prompts for drawings on the Ellen Million Sketch Fest site trying to find some inspiration.
I came upon this quote in amongst the list, 'One Upon a Midnight Dreary'...and a I am a 'closet goth' I jumped on the chance of sketching a Poe piece!!
This was my initial sketch for the prompt . . .
Today I finally got round to adding some ink to the drawing, and I also added a large feather to the bottom to neaten up the image layout-wise.
Not sure whether to add background filler dots to the in between bits and as a backing round the image, or to leave blank for the colourists to 'do their thing'....what say you?
Oh, take no notice of the text at the bottom of the second pic, that is just my new watermark for my brand new Gothic Design venture which is still on the drawing board...
