Word of mouth is all fine and dandy but I call it secondary marketing, as the odds are you need to do some advertising to get those first clients who could then spread the mouth.
Hive marketing, well that is different from country to country.
One good thing that taskmaster used to do on inleo was to reiterate that hive was a business so build your business. Great advice but it is a lot easier to do in Venezuela Nigerian Philippines etc than in the UK.
