Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and any other wonderful being who has stumbled onto this!
I am back with another wee stroll in the summer sunshine here in the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland, come let's walk the now.
Sunday was a great day, Spain won the World Cup and justice was done!
Mrs T also won the sweepstake at work, she drew Spain in the draw and got the day off on Monday on full pay!
As we are moving it came in handy.
The sun had come out to play and after moving some boxes in the morning, I knocked up a picnic lunch and off we set.
Our usual spot had been taken!
How dare they!!!
So it was on to plan B and into the big memorial garden we went.
You can see they got rid of all the flowers in the outer flower beds last year and planted a shitload of lavender in their place. It is great for the bees they say...
Well, let me tell you, there were a hell of a lot more beeds in and about the wild flowers that used to be here!
I imagine someone in the council took a backhander and bought a load of lavender from a company/person and was rewarded!
They council actually have put in some new benches, they are green metal ones and quite comfy, you can see the top in the bottom of the picture!
The only common denominator in these flower beds around the fountain are they do always have a couple of sunflowers in there.
They do have a new plant in there this year!
I had to google lens it ....
We shall come to it in a minute..
Aha, there you go, on the otherside of the fountain you can see two of those green benches. They did the job!
We ate our sandwiches and had our mini pork pies!
Oh yes of course I did the old footy chant!

The fountain was working which I know brings some respite to the wee birdies!
They do fill up their planters with bonnie wee flowers!
This one looks a bit better or fuller, don't you think?
Right back to the flower bed by the fountain ... Do you remember I said I learnt a new plant?
It is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub often grown in temperate climates as a seasonal annual.
The plant contains toxic compounds that are hazardous if ingested or handled improperly, so it should be kept away from children and pets.
It is popular for its dark purplish-red or bronze, deeply lobed leaves.
It always reminds me of a cannabis leaf, and interestingly enough should be kept away from children and pets! A bit of commonality there then!
Which was fine and dandy as we popped in and recorded a video for Mrs T's YouTube channel, which reminds me I need to edit that and get it out!
It is never ending lol!
Yes the council got rid of the flowers in that flower bed and put in shit loads of lavender, and you are telling me they are not on the take! Corrupt fcukers throughout British politics!
