It is Tuesday and that of course means two things ....

This week will feature one group and they happen to be American and were founded in 2008 in Las Vegas. You might know the name but I am sure you will recognise some of the songs!

Yeah the band is Imagine Dragons.
Mrs T was having her Sunday afternoon video call with her family in America.
One of her sisters who loves to give one of our Alexa instructions asked her to play Believer by Imagine Dragons. The other sister popped up and we had an afternoon of listening to Imagine Dragons.
I am sure you have heard that one at some point.
That is the name Imagine Dragons fans give each other!
I mentioned the band is from Las Vegas. Well that happens to be one of my favourite American cities.
The lead singer Dan Reynolds and I have something in common, we both suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitus.
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a type of arthritis characterized by long-term inflammation of the joints of the spine typically where the spine joins the pelvis.
Fair play to him though, in 2016 he partnered with Novartis's ThisASLife to raise awareness about the severe inflammatory disease.
I feel for him, he is 35 now and I know it will get worse.
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a systemic rheumatic disease, meaning it affects the entire body and has no known cure.
Because it affects the whole body, there are a raft of side illnesses connected that if you are unlucky you can catch. From uveitis to ulcerative colitis it is a pain in the fluffing arse!
I would not wish it on my worst enemy, and I see he suffers from depression and has counseling, well I am not surprised unfortunately.

So the Fire Breathers amongst might have twigged that all three tunes were from their 2017 album Evolve which was a fluffing blockbuster of an album.
I think they have had five albums now and that was the third.
Needless to say I have been listening to more since Sunday!
Now then, do you know why Imagine Dragons are called Imagine Dragons?
Neither do I!
It is actually an anagram of the original name that the band wanted ...
The plot thickens!!
Thinking about Dan Reynolds and AS then he will often suffer from insomnia so it could well be that.
Furthering that belief is that in the music video of song 'On top of the world' if you pause at 34 seconds you can see 'Ragged Insomnia' which is anagram for Imagine Dragons. There is also a Ragged Insomnia FB page which of course means nothing, but you never know!
