The concept of "Emotional intelligence" has evolved over the years from it inception as called social intelligence before it was coined by Daniel Goleman. The idea behind this concept is highly tremendous,so worth knowing and useful in a gruelling situation we found ourselves in this present century.
WHAT IS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive, manage and harness ones emotion and interpersonal relationship judiciously and emphatically.

Emotional intelligence has a myriad of ways to benefit us. Some its importance are:-
1.Mental well being : we can maintain a good mental well being by eliminating anxiety, reducing depression and alliviating pains with the ability to be aware and manage our emotions intelligently.
2.Health :There is a common saying that "Health is Wealth". Our health condition also determine the level of productivity at work place, schools etc.
3.Success : It can be achieved with proper mindset. If we can beat procastination, allay fear and timidity which are killing factors to success, in order to attain our desire success in our chosen career.
4.Leadership: Leaders play critical role in decision making and constantly develop and upgrade their teams. The ultimate goal of leadership can be achieved by establishing trust through transparency, candor, and credit and also bringing energy and optimism to the team which are guided by his or her emotions and empathetic.
PRINCIPLE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
1.Emotiion is information characteristics
Emotion are inherent characters that is distinct to an individual. Our emotional responses enable us to relate to different environmental changes/ conditions where we may find ourselves. Some environmental conditions may not be conducive, so this unfavorable conditions signal some impulse into our nerve which consciously bring about a positive outcome.
2.We can try to ignore emotion, but it doesn't work Emotion can be interconnected to reflex actions, we are unconscious of our emotions most times in both positive and negative ways. Humans need to balance their emotional responses with their adaptive nature in a constructive manner not to disrupt our personal feelings.
3.Emotions follow logical pattern
The intensity of our emotion is not random but depends on the degree of our emotional responses to various situations.
Conclusively, emotional intelligence could also be used in conflict resolution as well as relationship. Our lifestyle would be awesome if we perceive, manage and guide our emotions intelligently.
