Hive, Oh Hive! At the moment, I am just some months away from being a year old on the chain. I must say, it has been a whole lot of journey. Then, I was entirely a novice in the world of cryptocurrency and/or this decentralization of a thing. But through Hive, I have learned a lot, and I am still in the process. I knew about Web3 before I came on board but I never knew that someone like me could be engaged in it let alone get monetary compensation from it.
Community
Apart from Hive being a web3 entity, it is basically a social media too. Therefore, it entails people (users) interacting with one another in other to share information among other things. The availability of communities both as users and as what we call precisely call a community helps one to get acquainted with the different niches that exist on the chain such that I do not think there is anything you want to venture into that is not here already. Even if it were not, there is an avenue where you can facilitate the creation of one. Moreover, the members thereof help groom one another to grow well in this space. As they say, you never walk alone.
Earning Income
Relative to the fact that Hive is based on Web3, it allows its users to earn through it. From the activities such as blogging, engagements, etc., you get rewarded for them. Although, the rate of earnings could be proportional to how active you are. There are other ways to earn too which are staking your tokens, delegation to curation trails and communities, etc.
Decentralization
The Hive blockchain is built upon its being decentralized such that there is no one entity that rules over it. As we may have known, a blockchain basically has different nodes all around the world that governs it, so as an extension all the users have a stake in the administration. Another vital characteristic of Hive which spans from the blockchain is the high-end security that is present in it.
Information
Hive is quite a huge source of information. There are people on Hive that always make it possible to have quick and easy access to information, especially in the financial space. Apart from finances, it allows people across the world to share information about what exists on their side of the world. So Hive is more or less another platform that aids in making the world a global village.
Motivation
As they say, no matter how a thing is done, there is always a better way to do it. Hive is a place that can make you strive to do better things – better blogs, quality posts, quality pictures – anything that is of the essence to blogging on this platform. In fact, there are times when I would just feel like not doing anything let alone writing a post at least. But when I start to read posts and engage them, the zeal to write something just comes in and there goes me writing hundreds of words.
