Well, for me, it is what it is is what some including me use in a comic way. Although, as you said, some use it as a getaway in order to excuse their ineffective communication or actions. That is a not-so-cool thing to do. As humans getting complacent is not really something in our nature, that is why anyone who does not update himself on time may get phased out by new developments.
