This weekend's prompt by @galenkp deals with anything the number - 250- in which I chose this:
2️⃣ Found $250
You find $250 in cash on the sidewalk. There's no one close by to claim it, so you bend over and pick it up. What do you do next? Hand it to the authorities or pocket it? If you decide to keep it what do you do with the money, how do you spend it, and why? If you decide to hand it in to the authorities what's behind that decision?
Actually, I don't think one could find such an amount on a sidewalk in my country. It is quite an unthinkable scenario except the universe just wished to smile at you at this side of the planet. Well for the purpose of this prompt, let's just do it!
Honestly, I do not think I would want it to be a side walk cos anyone could be coming from any angle, I'd rather it is an almost dry one. First thing on seeing $250? Wow, that is a whole lot more than my net worth. Well, l will first be sceptical due to the fact that I do not want to turn into a yam. You may have been seeing this in some Nigerian posts. It entails the fact that there are some devil incarnate who use money in this scenario for their evil and diabolic stuff.
But when if not one is still visible around that area, with silent but heavy prayers in my heart it is definitely going to somehow find its way into my pocket. That doesn't mean I picked it 🤣. I feel you'd ask why I didn't hand it over to authorities or something. Relative to my country, I believe no one could hold this kind of money around to the point of you losing it except maybe such is involved in yahoo-yahoo.
So, after picking the money, I'd leave that environment as quickly as possible to avoid any other suspicion. Then reconfirm the amount of money it was and then sleep and wake up. Because $250 is huge money when converted to our Naira (NGN).
Since I was little, my parents have always taught me to be frugal so the thought of spending it anyhow will not even suffice. Right now, I am in dire need of certain things especially concerning my phone. I need a power bank, phone charger, earpiece and above all, a better phone. So, I believe you can now see what I would use the money for not all of the money though because the above things cost just about $40.
The rest of the money will be directed into investments too. Using some division rule, the money will be divided into real estate, agriculture, and crypto. The first two are the latest and fast-growing investment platforms. Then, when the returns are coming on either re-investment or servicing needs more often than wants will occur.
You know! It just seems this $250 scenario to just happen soon cos I have got plans for it. Concrete plans, you know!
