ANTICIPATING HIVE COMMUNITY HANGOUT AT OOPL

Just like my friend @chosenfingers do say, “There’s no better gift to give anyone right now other than the loving gift of hive.”

I could remember how @starstrings01 and @monioluwa took their precious time to explain what hive entails and helped in onboarding me seamlessly. Since I joined Hive, the members of the community have been of great help and have subsequently served as source of motivation to newbies including myself (I’m still a newbie though); and ultimately to the growth and development of the community and HIVE at large.

My first meeting which doubles as the community’s second meeting was held at a very popular place in my school called MOTION GROUND – a place I describe as “a ground on motion without motion”.

I could remember vividly, it was some days after my first physical meeting that @starstrings01 raised an idea. He suggested we having our next hive meeting at a more serene environment. After much deliberations, we all agreed to the location being the Olusegun Presidential Library (OOPL).

In the light of this, we agreed on contributing 10HBD each or the sum of 5000 naira to ensure proper preparation for the hangout.

WHY OOPL?

Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library was first conceived as an idea in 1988 but ultimately became a reality on November 12,2002.

OOPL, contrary to what you might be thinking, isn’t just a library. It houses other features such as the wildlife park, cinema, museum and above all a tourist centre.
The features therein, further gave us the assurance of it being a good place for us to unwind and release the tension that has built up resulting from school and its activities – the stress, burnouts, cumbersome workload, uncompleted personal projects, continuous assessment tests – Oh my! At times I close my eyes and wish an angel could just descend from above and just finish them all for me. But here they still all are!
So I still need to get them done.

Besides OOPL being a plan to unwind, it would be a good environment for us to relax and enjoy ourselves in the celebration of the festive season all in the spirit of love (for Hive) and Christmas.

A big shoutout to @starstrings01, @chosenfingers, and @monioluwa who have been working tirelessly to make the necessary preparations towards making the hangout a success.

Ever since the idea of the hangout has been brought up, I have been looking forward to it with utmost excitement as I can’t wait to spend the time with my guys. I look forward to hanging out with @heskay, @mayorkeys, @monioluwa, @manny-uncharted, @dominion-yusuf, @ijohnsen, @hepziba, @manuel6, @like-mind, @franciscm, @annisignature, @t-blingart.
