Some of those fried ones throughout Asia are spicy and crunchy. Also in Australia aboriginals have long dined on witchery grubs. Fresh and alive! I live in a region of Australia where the Wurundjeri people are named after the grub and the tree that it lives in as a larvae. In contrast to this new and chaotic world emerging, that long gone past (in images at least) has a soothing and idealised feel.
