You're mixing gambling with investing.
A gambler in crypto WILL buy the decreasing price just the same way they will buy into high odds on a sports game. Because they play by "win big or lose big". Not at here can play that game.
You're also denouncing the age old saying of
BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME
with "yeah if we give out free stuff they'll come" but that's essentially what these crypto projects have all believed to be the magic formula and peddled it as the great attractor..
"LOOK HERE, we made that thing.. WITH REWARDS"
Giving the very wrong impression that it's that easy.
"Hey world, come here, it's simple, just do what you do on them GREEDY platforms, and get the rewards you deserve on this AMAZING 3.0 unfinished magic carpet ride"
Yet once here everyone..
EVERYONE! will reply to that with "WELL YOU HAVE TO WORK HARDER.. or HEY NOTHING COMES EASY ..or NOT EVERYONE GETS REWARDS" etc..
That's deceptive, because once in here the message is: "Well you're not promoting HIVE enough... work to increase your position on this NOTmlm - likeOMG how did you not figure that out when I tricked you into joining our cult you silly billy!"
Your heart is in the right place man but your mind doesn't actually have an understanding on what is important here and what is actually failing. Well you likely do but to be 100 percent truthful to oneself and others is not something that comes easy.
There's so many great posts that keep popping up that are holding similar views but NOT ONE RESPONSE from the whale club. That's telling man. You don't think that a person looking to invest into this crypto would at the least, read some posts and if they come across the many from community voicing concerns that just that alone would be enough to make them stop and think "hang on this is broken, it's own community aren't happy and actually believe it's destined to fail"
This post by @lordbutterfly wrapped it up well. Yet again though, no one of significance gets involved or even gives a real vote of support. In her comment to your post also
@yajnie has again expressed those concerns.
Those are just two examples. They're precisely the human element of this though. The community you DO BELIEVE in so kudos for that. Start to realize though that just like how Hive took community away from steemit (well the English and Spanish speakers.) A new platform that comes along (that has the better system) can also take that community away from here. Or just time itself really. Because the amount of deadfish here is a representation of the decay of this one possibly great concept.
I did once believe that. I left a comment recently that gave the example of a girl named @suesa that represented the great blogging system this could have been. Back before
@blocktrades went DrEvilGiveMeYourFeesBitchez.
In a nutshell, she wrote real intelligent content (an extension of her real world journey), community responded with comments, blockhead rewarded both creator and observer. That such simple formula could have achieved the dream.
Because if a person was a good blogger, they received rewards. If a person was a bad blogger, they could use her (and others) as example. If a person was not a blogger at all.. they could contribute by comment (and maybe too, get rewards). If a person did not seek any community involvement, they could support by voting like blocked-drain did.
That essentially catered to everyone.
So the system was actually there.
It got corrupted trough. At that point all it needed was a fix of the account creation that existed as a grind. Rather than get fixed though, it got worse. Then it just continued to go south. It's now so far down south that majority are eating toe jam.
