Very well said and it's a great insight into your mind.
I agree with most of what you said but on the point of gatekeepers of power in this crypto industry, my point is that the people don't have that even if they all combine into a single entity and flex that as buying power. Those big players though, by default have ability to move markets and then call then win for themselves at will.
That was the 'root of the evil' of the steemit takeover. So needing to FORK was not a clear win. Steemit was home, and an exodus still leaves the ancestral lands in the hands of the conqueror. The absolute positive though, was that it woke everyone up and made them see their worth, and for a while inspired unity. IMO, development needed to push and push from that march exodus though so the momentum was somewhat lost. This is again realised though so it's good to see discussions on getting that movement back.
All in all I agree that CONTROL is the destination.
Both for the ones in power that lead the tech giants.
And for the people that want to have say on what is extracted from them.
