Well within this system yes.

However this is why Blockchain is likely to never become mainstream. Used for systems as a spine yes but the way he described it. For the average user it's A MAJOR PUT OFF.

No one wants to join a platform that actually has subspaces where the actual social is. It's like inviting your neighbors over for dinner. Then everyone does the socializing and dinner talk in separate restricted areas.. with specific rules.

Kids go there.
Oldies there.
Those who want music background.. there.
Anyone not eating but would like conversation, stand by the door.

After all that and the experience passed. Your next dinner invitation will be used as toilet paper.

This layering makes sense for system stability and scalability. However the marketing needs to always remain unified.

HIVE is meant to be that.
Yet on top there's peakd hiveblog etc.
As time goes on.. obviously many more.

Again... No one outside of geekville sees that as attractive. Then the final issue I see is. This is still heavily text based. It's just a major clusterfuck of perspectives, ideas, projects, rich groups, tragics, dreamers, poor groups etc.

Nothing unifying for the mainstream.

The CONTENT STREAM IS ON FROM THE GET GO.
IF you choose to contribute THEN you make an actual posting account. Clearly the content is king but the ease of use makes it a no brainer in terms of success and mass adoption.

What I believe HIVE needs..
Is a PORTAL ENTRY which simplifies the frontend to then give you choice of type of connect you like to consume.

You then proceed through to your world.

The other thing that would need to change is the content creators (if they want that audience) would then have to post in a manner such as "for text" "for image" etc...

TEXT clearly the best format and audience.
However so many commentators are confused. For them, the option of "show me in pictures" "show me in video" would be how that information gets understood.

Now blocktrades has the option to do that work. OR.... commission it out. That would likely be very attractive to people here who don't provide anything which attracts reward. You know those "bottom dwellers".

That would both create competition and even a standard. Because blocktrades would select the standard and those who made a vomitofavideo would think "ok blocktrades didn't like my style. I guess death metal music and bloodbaths don't portay his message!"

That content would then exist in multiple media formats on the platform catering to a greater audience AND be also building a wealth of knowledge on HIVE.

GOAL: Retain more users.

I mean the name HIVE implies unification ffs. That unification should not just be code. The whole operation needs to be kept as simple and as targeted as possible.
