That's my point.
Without chat there is no interconnectivity.
To do that with an external system: DISCORD is ridiculous. It's 2020 and this is Blockchain, which is meant to be decentralised so to take conversations onto a platform that is neither is as I said: self defeating.
I'm also not a coder.
What I'm waiting for is the toolset to grow the communities I believe are missing here. Again, I won't do that when the system is so basic. It's like trying to make lemonade with just lemon leaves.
HIVE is no longer steemit. Great.
But what really is Hive?
Still just predominantly rewards for text blogging. With so much patchwork to make it a complete experience. That's just not how you take on mainstream.
I agree with your notion that if it's missing, we're all free to create it. However we aren't all equal. There's only a limited group that can build the fundamentals: CODERS. Until then, others just aren't able to build the platform and assist the user uptake. I'm also very against shilling on twitter and forcing users to become the slave marketing team.
RE: What we do today will weigh heavily in the near future.
