I know it wasn't racist but now that you mention it. Do you think that reflecting back maybe that had something to do with the Steemit/Hive split?

I certainly think that there was enough animosity built up from the days of haejin dominating and berniesanders vomiting his usual idiotic rhetoric. There was always that ego flex going on. Plus from the beginning it was Koreans who really made steemit. They supported both the platform and trading.

One could see it as:
HIVE left steemit and took community.
Or maybe see it as:
Steemit got liberated and strengthened their community.
