I suspect that HF24 put in a throttle of sorts. When you get a reply to a comment. You're pointed to your own comment. Why not the reply? Because throttling means that the reply is not fully signed and broadcasted.

Of course I don't know how I can dig deeper or prove this but if this platform is all held up by patchwork then that's not going to work long-term.
