NO but see this is WHY blockchain, and closer to Hive's story - steemit - didn't take off. Because people aren't chasing rewards in this social thing. Even now that we realise that the tech giants extract our data to make themselves rich, people are still OK with that.. because the experience, still feels (and is) FREE to them. Furthermore those tech giants run a superior system that is revealed to even be manipulating the subconscious of users to keep their attention on their networks.
The issue then with steemit and definitely HIVE,
Is that first, the system is too simple, yet believes itself finished.
The other main issue is that it resembles work really.

But the reality is that this is more like a Multi Level Marketing thing. You start from the bottom and work your ass off to get any recognition. You want better then that? Then put in money sucker! You think this needs marketing? YOU DO THAT SUCKER! Not in those words but that's the reality and it's how some heads here are operating.
So again I say.. THAT IS WHY this is not appealing to mainstream.
I could guarantee you that if there was a survey at the door that users filled out when they decided to leave, the dominant reason would be "too much work" followed by "the thing is too basic" so that's why I wonder how this thing is ever going to gain that attraction that it once did when it was NEW and SHINNY.
When social rewards seemed revolutionary.
This was why I got attracted to steemit.
The feeling is still palpable. I wanted to add so much content and thought that this blockchain was onto something big. After walking away from the mainstream networks (and even making drafts of my dream networks) I stumbled upon steemit and thought that it was the perfect system already up and running.
Researching it however started to paint a different image.
Then interactions with the network I saw too many flaws.
Flaws that are still prevalent now. So then I see it as pointless to commit if this thing never changes. Or if it changes in this super slow manner that those at the wheel are developing it then I wonder if this will always just exists as a case study of what blockchain could be, but can't yet be due to the limitations in the underlying technology.
Which is what plagues all blockchains really.
Anyway I write too much but I like interacting with intelligent heads here that do the same also so again I respect your view and also think this chain benefits from committed individuals like you that not only praise it, but also critique it accordingly.
